Phrips on you

I am not sure, but that might be, “thrips on you”. She inspires me, another gimp who didn’t give up, and who has been lucky enough to have some of the tools to keep her going: a husband, a son, the resources and health care. But several years ago she suffered a stroke at the height of her career as a garden designer.

After all these years she started teaching again. Was she welcomed warmly with open arms by her employer, who congratulated her on her motivation and perseverance?

No. Think again. Mystery Shopper was there with Theo. But Theo had a seizure from the chemicals sprayed on the plants. It was an okay nursery. There were some good choices. But you could tell that people were neither happy, helpful or nice.

They used my friend. They advertised her in the paper. They worked her long hours. They billed having an in-house design expert. Then they paid her two hundered and phiphty bucks for one month’s work – full time.

Then, just before a class of twenty shining phaces showed up for gardening lessons, they told her she was phired but could teach her class – No, let me get this right, the cashier told her she was phired.

It’s a gimp eat gimp world out there. You might think that gimps dont’ taste good. But apparently they are very tasty appetizers. Somehow I think eating a gimp is very bad karma.
